A neglected late-Victorian terraced house, revived through a handful of tactical spatial and material manoeuvres. Studio MASH persuaded the client not to put their limited funds towards an extension and to instead invest in bringing to life the spaces that they already had. Layers of ancient wallpaper were removed, floors were sanded and polished, unnecessary partitions and leaking lean-tos taken away and doors and windows enlarged. A family of cheerful geometric details dances around the compact kitchen dining room in the cabinetry, tiling and lighting.
